Brian Pastor, a musician, educator, composer and arranger is Musical Director and Principal Trombonist for The Brian Pastor Big Band as well as Principal Trombonist with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops. Brian holds a B.S. degree in music education from West Chester University, an MFA (Music) from Trenton State College and was an instrumental music specialist in the Philadelphia Public Schools.
As a sought after freelance trombonist in the Philadelphia area, Pastor has performed with such notables as: Elton John, Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis, Bobby Rydel, Nestor Torres, Lucie Arnas, , Tony Bennett, Michael Feinstein, Burt Bachrach, Grover Washington, Jr., Doc Severinsen, Tito Puente, Mel Torme, Diana Ross, Perry Como, Dionne Warwick, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Les Brown, and many others. He has also recorded with Joey DiFrancesco, Phil Woods, Patti LaBelle, Patti Page Live at Carnegie Hall, Lou Rawls, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Teddy Pendergrass, The Salsoul Orchestra, The Richie Family, South Side Johnny and is on numerous commercial and television soundtracks. He has been in the pit orchestras for productions of West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy and many others.
