Mission Statement

Our mission is to discover, plan and invest for what matters most in order to free individuals & families to lead lives of significance, and help institutions effectively support their mission.

Core Values

Stewardship: We are stewards, all we have ultimately belongs to another.

Legacy: We desire to build a business that will outlive us.

Humility: We are aware of our limitations and have an ongoing appetite to learn.

Unity: We are a team and no individual can thrive apart from it.

Trust: We trust one another to do what is best for our clients and for the firm.

Community: We value our relationships with one another as much as we enjoy our shared work.

Generosity: We desire to give more than we receive, to care for all who desire trusted financial advice, and to give generously to the communities where we live and work.

Excellence: We are dedicated to excellence in all we do.

Honesty: We are committed to candor and transparency.

Integrity: We are loyal to our clients’ interests above all else

Overview

We work with our clients to better understand, enjoy and share the wealth they possess. Most of this affluence may never appear in the body of a net worth schedule. Financial resources help us all to promote, protect and reproduce what matters most to us. Our ongoing relationship with our clients helps us unlock this often overlooked synergy between what we possess and what we desire to accomplish in this life.

A comprehensive financial plan provides the groundwork for most if not all of the subsequent financial decisions in your life. We gain a complete understanding of your financial status by gathering and analyzing all of your pertinent financial data. Many financial plans begin and end with this discipline and often do it with little regard for the consequences. Our understanding of financial planning involves a rather non-traditional starting line that we believe to be the missing link to legitimate planning.

In addition to gathering and analyzing all your pertinent financial data, we believe the discovery and documentation of who you are as a family and what you believe to be true about life is vital in creating your financial plan. With this information in full view, we work with you to set goals that line up with what you care for and value most. Although learning about how your family desires to experience life together takes time, we are committed to walking through this often neglected step of discovery in order to learn your personal view of the world around you. We are ready to commit our personal and professional resources to ensure we fully understand and clarify this before we implement a plan on your behalf.

Financial assets are clearly an essential resource and ought to be both preserved and grown with the utmost care. We are are deeply committed to the role of fiduciary that we assume on behalf of our clients. Yet, we like to make it crystal clear at the outset, that we serve families with a shared understanding that assets are not the ultimate goal of our work. Simply stated, assets are a means to a more significant end, determined uniquely by each client family.

The discovery process may last one meeting or may become something more involved over a series of meetings. Your desire and family’s situation is going to determine how we engage this invaluable content with one another. The planning process is summarized by the following set of fundamental questions:

Who are you? Family history, experiences and beliefs regarding affluence, personal values, vision for legacy, etc.

Where are you now? Current situation (both personally and financially)

Where are you heading? Projections detailing future financial situation

Where do you want to go? Client directed goal discovery

How do you get there? Recommendations and implementation plan
