Whether she’s interpreting the Great American Songbook, jazzing up popular songs, belting out the blues, or her performing her own compositions, Philadelphia’s Maci Miller captivates and entertains audiences around the globe with her unique and soulful jazz vocals.
On recordings and live on stage, Maci has worked with trumpeter Steve Jankowski (Nile Rodgers, Chicago), saxophonist Larry McKenna (Woody Herman), Demitrious Pappas(Smokey Robinson’s Musical Dir.), and the late, great George Mesterhazy (Shirley Horn), to name just a few. Her latest recording, Round Midnight, was a collaboration with David O’Rourke ( Les Paul, Bucky Pizzarelli). Currently, Maci is working with Aaron Graves (Cassandra Wilson), and Mike Boone (Buddy Rich), on a her next album as well as live performances.
Maci has sung in legendary rooms such as the The Jazz Standard, Danny’s Skylight Room, Chris’s Jazz Cafe, Caesar’s Palace (Las Vegas), Bally’s, Harrah’s, Claridge (AC), etc. Her travels have also taken her to the iconic Bamboo Bar in Bangkok, Thailand for several extended runs. Adding to her extensive musical experiences, Maci is a featured guest vocalist with numerous notable symphonic orchestras, big band, and pops concerts.
Maci’s had other creative endeavors as an actor, model, and spokesperson that have afforded her numerous appearances on film (The Sixth Sense), print (Modern Bride, Women’s World Magazine), and television (Law and Order). Her charitable contributions include a lullaby entitled “Butterfly Moon”, originally composed for her daughter, which she contributed to a CD for The Mercy Center in Bangkok, which gives aid to orphans and children living with HIV.
An accomplished songwriter, Maci has released 4 CD’s and has had notable collaborations and licensing/publishing deals with Disney, as well as international jazz releases in Asia. A selection from her all-original big band album, “A Very Good Night”, was featured nationally at MAC Cosmetics counters. In April 2020, Maci and her 4th release – Round Midnight – was featured on WRTI as Artist of the Month, and the album garnered rave reviews and airplay world wide. Other stations, like KJAZZ (LA) has been keeping it in regular rotation ever since.
Recently, Ms. Miller joined The Philly Blues Kings and can be found performing the blues at Jamey’s House of Music every Sunday.
