Maria holds a piano performance degree from Baylor University, graduating suma cum laude, and is completing her graduate studies in piano performance at Temple University with Dr. Charles Abramovic. Maria thoroughly enjoys performing both solo and chamber music of various styles, recently venturing into new music. She recently performed Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, a legendary work written in a concentration camp during World War II, and has performed solo at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall four times. In addition to piano, Maria has played the violin since the age of 7, exploring musical styles such as classical, jazz, and fiddle, and holding positions in the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and the Waco Symphony Orchestra. Maria is a member of Ensō, a chamber ensemble that plays new music composed by living composers.
