Music is coming to the churchyard this summer, at our annual summer concert series. All are invited to join us for snacks, live music, and good company. These are free, community concerts, so invite your friends and neighbors to come along! Bring a chair, picnic blanket, your kids, your dog, and enjoy the summer night in our beautiful churchyard.
St. Peter’s will provide a free treat at all the concerts, and invite you to bring a picnic dinner.
Concert schedule:
Wednesday, June 12: The Phillip Bennett Band is led by singer-songwriter (and St. Peter’s parishioner) Phillip Bennett. This Philadelphia-based folk band plays songs that cover a range of topics, including the experience of love, loss, celebration, spiritual growth.
Wednesday, June 26: The Jazz Sanctuary’s Alan Segal Jazz Quintet features fine musicians who have been performing in the tri-state area for many years, playing the music they love – American Jazz in all its glory.
Wednesday, July 10: Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble CRISOL, Spanish for melting pot, is an ensemble that has been performing in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas since 1997. This group is dedicated to the interpretation of a variety of folk and traditional music genres from all over Latin America and the Caribbean.
